”RE: key challenges - plan for dealing with those challenges

Our key challenges are; fiscal deficits, critical funding needed for safety and infrastructure, taxation which can be a struggle for residents, transparency/trust and land preservation while the state pursues forced density laws.

I bring a fresh perspective and viable solutions that are currently not being heard.

I will be a collaborative facilitator who works as a supportive member of the Council, while seeking to bring our community together. Trust is critical while facing our challenges together.

RE: how to balance differing points of view in order to reach the best decisions for the City?

• With Council, Staff and Residents; be attentive, collaborative, inclusive, respectful and kind; then consider all perspectives and facts in the decision
• Find common ground, focus on the problem (not who said it), principles over politics

Our city has struggled to make progress over the last four years, and I am running for Council to provide a fresh approach and viable solutions.

We need to rebuild trust lost on parkland sales, Measure E, the roundabout, inequitable enforcement of the code, etc. This has left many residents feeling disenfranchised. I seek to bring people together, to solve our problems; preserving city character, financial stability and securing our police into our future. “
